In 2003 Alvor was discovered by kite surfers, since then, the sport we love so much has not stopped growing, both in number of kitesurfers and the evolution to different styles.

Alvor has perfect natural conditions for kitesurfing, flat water in the lagoon, waves at the beach and the strongest and most regular winds in the Algarve.  Due to this the spot has received countless visitors, and became a regular stop for of the most important kitesurf competition, the PKRA World Tour. . The famous regular northwest winds start in March and keep on blowing until October.

There is no need to be tall or strong, just embrace the natural elements water and wind to experience the sensation of this addictive sport. For those, the Alvor Kitesurf Center provides courses that are taught to obtain maximum safety and rapid development of the student. Next to this we have high quality accommodations that will put you in the middle of the local kite surf scene.
